If I were writing this book today I would try the following, which incorprates all three of Martin's excellent suggestions:

A. I'd look at the change over time in the audience demographics, content provision, and self-described programming strategies for CNN, Fox, and MSNBC.

B. This would allow you to show over time how the political affiliations of the viewers changed for programs. For example, how have the demographics of CNN viewership changed over time upon the introduction of Fox? Upon the recent changes in the MSNBC targeting of particular viewpoints?

C. Can you show changes in content in easy to view graphs, such as word clouds based on program transcripts?
