This is a great example of the transition into public media 2.0 we talk about in our recent white paper at the Center for Social Media. Hyper local blogging is neither a case of mass media (as Lisa Williams explains so eloquently) nor a case of public media (traditional public broadcasting) -however its a perfect example of a participatory media making environment where the people formerly known as the audience become the media makers.</description>
