<description>Interesting summary on the technology developments. But how is that any different from what is going on on the internets? Can this R&amp;D stuff help NYT compete or is it just one of the last gargles this grand old dinosaur produces before going down with all other dead tree products?

		<description>Brilliant!
I&#039;ve had some experience with Torstar in Toronto and it looks like they are treating the &#039;ebooks&#039; and other technology like content.

Create it and license or syndicate it, why not it is just commodity stuff anyway and the art of the technology is in its use and distribution.

It looks like this is a winner...except for the words or content.

It looks like the content will be pushed out the same old, same old, possibly with a little lip-stick. This may be the weak point of the approach but we will see.

Cheers,
Nick
