I just do not understand why it is so hard to have a simplified and common standard across cell phones like that of the major operating systems we use (Mac and Windows) or some type of cross compatibility standard like the W3C has with Internet Browsers. While, pictures and messages are standard media types for exchanging between one phone to the next - internet browsing, video watching, and so many other basic functions of a cell phone differ substantially from one brand or model to to next.

Any additional thoughts?
