Does this article tell us anything? Not much. There's always been gossip and fads. Flashmobs don't seem to have been anything special except that they could be arranged via the net.

The difference between meme and nano-story was not explained.

The most interesting thing was the alleged efficacy of a narrowly focused brand. But this was incorrectly contrasted to complex political writing.

In fact, the more narrow the focus the more in-depth and complex the material studied generally becomes.
