I don't think it's antiquated at all. I travel way too much to enjoy the effort required to access such information via the internet. The smartphones with their internet access isn't exactly thrilling either. For old fogies like myself who are comfortable with receiving rather than searching for our daily news, the idea of being able to get my daily paper - as a news source I trust - makes the Nook VERY appealing for that reason alone. In fact, IF the Nook had the Post and Times available, I'd be inclined to get it just for that. The books would just be a plus.

I think the real question is whether either device offers an experience that is better than the actual paper- or at least significantly better than reading it online. The concept of "getting the newspaper delivered to your nook/kindle seems antiquated compared to checking the news website 24/7 for news and stories.
