The general strain running through these responses was the idea that the Times’ readers are smart enough to determine the veracity of the claims being made in the article.&lt;/I&gt; 

I wrote that Reason post. Thanks for the link. But I didn&#039;t say squat about &lt;i&gt;Times&lt;/i&gt; readers being smart.</description>
