One of the noteworthy aspects of the project is the potential it has to bridge the teaching/scholarship divide in j-schools. This is not a project designed as a teaching tool per se; it&#039;s about discovering and testing new ways to do news. In that sense it&#039;s applied R&amp;D in a way that j-schools haven&#039;t done as much of until recently. Bravo to NYU for hosting it and to all those involved.</description>
