		<description>I remember seeing Ted&#039;s emails after supporting him on Kickstarter and thinking &quot;He&#039;s not going to raise this money - what a shame&quot;. It&#039;s great to see that he was able to rally the troops (pun intended) and get the funds he needed.

While the fundraising process for laid-off journalists is time-consuming, stressful and ultimately not the best application of their skills, it forces people to really justify their work to a larger group of people, which, in the long run, may end up being good for the industry.</description>
