It has become so powerful, popular, and effective that we've actually affected our crime level here. The police monitor the discussions now and have even provided a link to us for their running database/crime report on the area. An example of the power of the Glenfriends group is that one day when someone had broken into a neighbor's home, neighbors were on the board immediately posting when they saw/where they saw someone "suspicious" with descriptions, et al. The police were able to apprehend and find the suspect in great part because of the networking that went on here.
