I don&#039;t understand why, though, anyone would say, &quot;Even if we don’t raise a lot of money, we’re going to do a lot of this stuff anyway.&quot; That&#039;s a clear disincentive to invest upfront. Perhaps they shouldn&#039;t be using Spot.Us and instead something like Kachingle or a tip jar following the coverage.

		<description>TheUpTake should just solicit funds from the Kelliher campaign.  Their coverage of the race so far has essentially been one long, free advertisement for Kelliher, and I see no reason why that would change.  It certainly doesn&#039;t count as &quot;journalism,&quot; though.</description>
