ContentNext Media is network of news sites that cover digital content economics, led by the flagship site paidContent.org.
Since 2008, ContentNext has been owned by Guardian Media Group, owners of the British newspaper The Guardian. It was purchased for $30 million and continues to be run independently by Ali.
ContentNext was founded in 2002 by Rafat Ali and includes British and Indian editions, and the mobile content site mocoNews.net. It has a staff of at least 30, and it supports itself through advertising and conferences.
