Stephen Dunbar-Johnson, international president of The New York Times Company, called the national security law in Hong Kong “the final tipping point … We felt that there could be a risk where the whole operation was just shut down, or that they would pull the plug,” he said, adding it was a move “to protect our operation over the long term.”
