Gina Masullo Chen is an assistant professor at The University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Mass Communication and Journalism. She spent 20 years as a newspaper reporter and editor, most recently blogging and writing about parenting and children for The Post-Standard in Syracuse, N.Y. She received a Ph.D. in communications at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She blogs about the future of journalism at savethemedia.com.
