Tanja Aitamurto is a visiting researcher at Stanford School of Engineering. She is studying new value constellations in collective intelligence by looking at its manifestations such as crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, co-creation and open innovation. She is a Ph.D. student at the School of Communication, Media and Theatre at University of Tampere, Finland. As a journalist she specializes in business and technology. Seth C. Lewis is an assistant professor in the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. His 2010 dissertation, completed at the University of Texas at Austin, examined how the Knight Foundation has sought to shape the substance and culture of innovation in journalism. His research explores the intersection of news, digital culture, and technology from a sociological perspective. His research on contemporary trends in journalism has appeared in a number of academic journals, and he co-edited the 2010 book The Future of News: An Agenda of Perspectives. Previously he was assistant sports editor at The Miami Herald, received an MBA, and studied in Spain as a Fulbright Scholar.
