News products that the Journal built to highlight its election coverage to occasional readers are being repurposed for coronavirus coverage.
From a single morning email, it’s grown into a multi-product brand that its fans can interact with throughout the day. “We’ve always said email was a marketing tool for us. The product expansions are always about making it easier to live a smarter life.”
The paper is including a print replica with an iPad-optimized layout and moving into Apple’s Newsstand.
TPM’s publisher says mobile apps must add value, and can’t just replicate the desktop or laptop experience.
