It’s driving over 100 million visits a month to news sites in the United States — on Android alone. And it’s an even bigger factor in France, Argentina, Brazil, and elsewhere.
Floodwatch, a new tool from the Office for Creative Research, is hoping it can collect enough data from users to help researchers answer questions around just how users are being targeted by ads online.
“The strategies around how many alerts to send, and sending them around certain specific events, don’t really seem to be a big part of most orgs’ thinking so far.”
With the newest version of OS X and Safari, news sites now have a new way to push their stories in front of readers — on desktops and laptops instead of just phones and tablets.
