We found that Americans who see news coverage that shows generic “line” images at polling places are less likely to say they will vote in future elections.
“Our analysis finds that the vast majority of local election officials don’t even have social media accounts beyond Facebook. And, when they do, it is likely that they are not effectively reaching their audience.”
Senior vice president of product engineering Brian Hamman describes prepping for unusual results, multiple needles, and vote counting that stretched for days. “Essentially, any time after the election, we could be sending out a push notification calling the election and bringing massive traffic to our site.”
Most people know quite a bit about their friends and family, including how happy and healthy they are and roughly how much money they make. It turns out this knowledge of others extends to politics, too.
