“The news can be pretty divisive, especially in an election year like the one we’re having now. So how do you create spaces where people can find some common ground?”
“For someone just starting out with a local news project, the most important takeaway from our report — and our work in general — is that we are stronger working together than we are working alone.”
The program, run by AIR, partners independent producers with public media stations and provides them with funding through July to cover underserved communities.
