The Arizona Republic found 42 percent of their digital-only subscribers had not read a single article in the last month. These “zombies” were “the un-dead,” “paying subscribers, but not a part of our living community.” “Zombies, like nearly everyone else, aren’t in the habit of coming to your homepage to find your ‘Big-J Journalism’ stories.
