The Scandinavian media giant surveyed thousands of its users to figure out characteristics of effective mobile ads. One finding: Static images were more effective than rich media or video ads.
Executives from The New York Times, Slate, The Atlantic, Wired, Mashable, The Seattle Times, Vox Media, and Newsweek say native advertising continues to be a success. But many are still trying to find the right approach to mobile ads.
At a few smart legacy news companies, there’s digital advertising growth and smart strategy. But most newspaper companies are finding the important numbers are still headed in the wrong direction.
